Privacy policy

Last updated: 6 November 2026

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use BrovyGames. The short version: we have no accounts, your game data stays in your browser unless you choose to rate a game, and we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used only if you accept cookies. Licensed games and their pictures come from GamePix, Playgama, HTMLGames and OnlineGames.io, which handle your data under their own terms, and those games may show ads.

BrovyGames is run by BrovyGames. For anything about this policy, email [email protected].

What stays in your browser

We don't have user accounts. The things below are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. We can't see them, and they aren't sent to us:

  • Your hearts, likes and recently played games.
  • Scores, personal bests, saved games and streaks.
  • Your Brovy Pass level and badges.
  • The player name you choose, if you choose one.
  • Settings such as sound, Family Mode and hidden games.
  • Your cookie choice and when you made it. We ask again after about six months.

How to delete it

To delete all of it, clear this site's data in your browser settings. That removes your saved progress, and we can't restore it for you. Reset my pass on the Brovy Pass page clears only your level, streak and badges. Nothing is shared between your devices.

What we receive when you visit

Like any website, BrovyGames has to send pages to your device, so the service hosting the site receives technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Our host is Contabo, and it may keep these details in its server logs for a limited time for security and operation.

We don't add advertising or social media tracking of our own to our pages, and our fonts are served from our own site.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how the site is used, but only if you accept cookies in the bar we show on your first visit. Until you do, nothing from Google Analytics loads. We ask again after 180 days. If you accept, it sets cookies named _ga and _ga_HJW9JNTPQE in your browser, which recognise your browser between visits.

Once you accept, it sends Google the pages you view, how far you scroll, the searches you make on the site, the links you follow to other sites, and details such as your IP address, browser and device. Google handles this under its own privacy policy.

To change your mind, use Cookie settings at the bottom of the page and choose Decline, which stops it and removes those cookies from your browser. You can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on. The same choice applies to some of the licensed games described below.

Licensed games and GamePix, Playgama, HTMLGames and OnlineGames.io

Most of the catalogue is provided by GamePix, Playgama, HTMLGames and OnlineGames.io, and we don't control how those games or their ads work. Two things connect your browser directly to their servers:

  • Game pictures: lists of licensed games load their pictures from the servers of GamePix, Playgama, HTMLGames and OnlineGames.io, even before you choose anything or press play. This shares your IP address and browser details with them.
  • Games: when you start a licensed game, it runs in a frame served by its provider. The game, the provider and its advertising partners may show ads, use cookies or similar technology, and collect information such as your IP address, device details and how you use the game, which can include personalised advertising. Some games also offer in-game purchases, which are handled by the provider and not by us.

Your choices

Some providers' games only start once you accept in the cookie bar or under Cookie settings. Others stay available if you decline, and may ask for your choice inside the game's own frame. Declining later stops the first kind loading from then on, but we can't remove cookies a provider has already set, so clear those in your browser. Please read the privacy policy of each provider (GamePix, Playgama, HTMLGames and OnlineGames.io) on its website for details and your choices there. You can also block or clear third-party cookies in your browser settings, or play only the BrovyGames originals, which don't show ads on their pages and don't load a partner's game. Family Mode doesn't control the ads inside games.

Play counts

When you start a game, your browser sends the game's name and a country to our play counter, so we can rank the Hot games page and the top games for each country on the home page. This happens whether or not you accept cookies, because it uses no cookies and saves nothing about you.

The country comes from your device's time zone setting, worked out in your browser. We don't look it up from your IP address, and it isn't a precise location. Choosing another country on the home page only changes what you see there and isn't counted as a play from that country.

The counter uses your IP address to limit how many plays one address can send and to avoid counting the same game twice in a short time, and holds it in memory for up to about an hour for that. It doesn't save the address. It saves only how many times each game was started each day in each country, and deletes those counts after about a week.

Star ratings

If you rate a game, your browser sends the game's name and the number of stars you chose to our ratings server. If you don't rate anything, none of this is sent. Your rating is also saved in your browser, so the page can show it to you again.

The server uses your IP address to limit how many ratings one address can send, and holds it in memory for up to about an hour for that. It doesn't save the address with your rating. It saves a scrambled code made from your address and the game, which lets you change your rating but not add a second one. The code can't be turned back into your address or used to connect your ratings on different games, so we can't find or remove one person's ratings. We keep ratings for as long as the games are rated on the site.

A game's average rating and number of ratings may appear on its page and in search results once it has at least 5 ratings and an average of 4 or more. All ratings count toward the average. We don't show the average of other games.

Online play in Hotwire Harbor

Hotwire Harbor's online mode connects you to our game server. The server receives your player name, your position and actions in the game, and your IP address, which it uses to limit how many connections one address can open. Other players in your city can see your player name and score, so don't use your real name.

The server holds this only in memory while you are connected. It has no database, and it doesn't log names or addresses. There is no chat. If you don't use the online mode, none of this is sent, and the game works solo.

Children

BrovyGames is a general site for all ages and isn't directed specifically at children. We don't ask for names, email addresses or other details, and our own games have no accounts or chat. Licensed games are different: they come from GamePix, Playgama, HTMLGames and OnlineGames.io, may contain ads, and aren't all suitable for children.

Parents and carers should choose games for younger children and stay close while they play. Our guide for parents explains how, including the limits of Family Mode. If you think a child's personal information has reached us, email [email protected] and we will help.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to its use, and to complain to your data protection authority. We hold very little: your game data is on your own device, and you can delete it yourself by clearing this site's data in your browser.

To exercise a right over anything we hold, email [email protected]. For data held by Google, GamePix, Playgama, HTMLGames and OnlineGames.io, their advertising partners or our host, contact them directly, as they decide how it is used.

Links to other sites

Licensed games and adverts can link to other websites and apps. Those have their own privacy policies, which don't come under this one.

Changes to this policy

If what we do with your information changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Last updated: 6 November 2026.
